The Gift Edit started from a simple frustration: every gifting website asks what you want to buy, when the only thing you actually know is who you're buying for.

What we do

You describe the person — your relationship to them, the occasion, their personality, their interests, your budget — and we return a short list of gifts with the reasoning attached. Not a hundred results. A handful you can actually choose between.

How the recommendations work

Every product in our catalogue carries structured gifting metadata: which relationships and occasions it suits, which interests and personality types it matches, its gift style and emotional intent, and who it is explicitly a bad fit for. Your answers are scored against that data with a deterministic model — the same inputs always give the same recommendations — and your budget is applied as a hard ceiling rather than a suggestion.

We also run a diversity pass so you don't get five versions of the same product, and we show you why each gift was picked so you can disagree with us.

What we won't do

• Invent prices, ratings, reviews or availability. If we don't hold verified data, we say so.
• Let a commission change the order of recommendations.
• Publish hundreds of near-identical pages to chase search traffic.
